About PastPower Automotive...
Brotherhood forged from...
Burnt Rubber, Gasoline Fumes,
& 80's-Era Hero Cars
Our proprietors, Zack & Kyle, bonded over their excitement & passion for a wide variety of automobiles - from mild to wild. With decades of wrench-turning experience between them, both of these car nuts fast became friends and realized each had a skillset that complimented the other.
Meeting through a shared appreciation for 1980's Nissan Z-Cars, they realized that keeping vehicles on the road was the ultimate way they could turn their hobby into a business.
For over a decade they developed, manufactured, and distributed niche automotive restoration & performance parts around the world. Customers on 4 continents & in more than a dozen countries still run Acadiana Sports Car Orphanage or PastPower products on their cars to this day.
Doing this type of work requires understanding what makes a car tick - how systems interact, how to determine where faults might occur, and the best way to resolve them - hmmmm.... sounds strangely like automotive repair! ;)
Going From Car Parts to Car Fixin'...
Providing Top-Flight Auto Repair
Having relocated to the Wenatchee Valley in late 2019, the disaster that was the COVID-19 pandemic closed the doors on many small manufacturing businesses - including ours.
However, after having made this area our home, we realized that many Wenatchee residents could benefit from having some bona-fide Car Guys to turn to!
From your garden variety Subaru Outback or Honda Civic, to a modified Subaru WRX or STi, or heck - even your Chevy Silverado plow truck - we have the experience, the knowledge, and the integrity to help you make informed decisions about how to keep your vehicle on the road & running great.
Our blue-collar aesthetic is more akin to the shops of yesteryear - with plain talk, honest diagnostics, and possibly a little dust on the corner shelf.
However, our blue-collar work ethic means honest effort, a commitment to continually improve our knowledge and tools, and pride in each job done right (and each new long-time customer earned!)
Meet Wenatchee's Car Guys!
Zack Barnett
Pictured here is is Zack, likely giving his unsolicited opinion on who-knows-what while 3 people on the internet listen intently with bated breath.
When he isn't speaking into a tin can, Zack uses his automotive expertise & Southern-style hospitality in his role as PastPower Automotive's lead service advisor & customer/vendor relations manager.
His main objective is to provide reasonable, effective solutions to the needs of our customers. He also handles working with our vendors to ensure quality parts are used and delivered in a timely manner.

Kyle Kuhlmann
Kyle, who once battled a balloon animal to the death, is photographed here wearing its carcass to ward off any other potential attacks.
At PastPower Automotive, Kyle functions as our lead diagnostic technician & shop foreman - leveraging decades of automotive problem-solving with an understanding of engineering & design (which comes in very handy when dealing with a multitude of makes & models!)
His goal for every car through the door is to quickly & effectively diagnose faults and ensure they can be dealt with promptly & properly.
